What is Mongolian poker?
Mongolian poker can refer to poker games, content and communities created for players in Mongolia. Poker Mongolia combines classic Texas Hold'em rules with a Mongolian-language interface and a visual style inspired by Mongolia.
Each player receives two private cards while five community cards can appear on the table. The goal is to make the strongest possible five-card poker hand.
What is Texas Hold'em poker?
Texas Hold'em is one of the most popular forms of poker. Every player receives two private cards, called hole cards, and up to five community cards are dealt face-up in the middle of the table.
Players make their best five-card combination from the available cards. You do not have to use both hole cards. A final hand may use both, one or even none of them.
The four main Texas Hold'em stages
Pre-flop
Each player receives two private cards and the first betting round begins.
Flop
The first three community cards are dealt face-up followed by another betting round.
Turn
A fourth community card is dealt and the remaining players make another decision.
River
The fifth and final community card appears, followed by the final betting round.
Check, bet, call, raise and fold
Poker players have several possible actions. Check passes the action without making a bet when no bet is currently outstanding. A bet puts chips into the pot, call matches an existing bet, raise increases it and fold gives up the current hand.
Small blind and big blind
Before the cards are dealt, two players to the left of the dealer button post mandatory bets. These are known as the small blind and big blind.
Blinds ensure that every hand begins with chips already in the pot and are a fundamental part of Texas Hold'em.
Showdown and determining the winner
If two or more players remain after the final betting round, the hand reaches showdown. The remaining hands are compared and the player with the strongest five-card combination wins the pot.

Why is position important in poker?
Position describes where a player sits relative to the dealer button and when they act during a betting round. Acting after other players gives you more information before making your own decision.
Because of this, the same starting hand can have different strategic value in early position and late position.
What are good starting hands?
Not every pair of starting cards has the same strength. Large pocket pairs, strong high-card combinations and some connected suited cards tend to offer better starting potential.
Starting-hand decisions also depend on position, the number of players and the betting action that has already taken place.
